I would go back because of the rooms are modern in decor and that the hotel

I love the rooms how spacious, clean and comfortable. I don’t like the salt mackerel too many bones and it could be a liability to the hotel especially kids.

The Food needs more options other than local choices.

I would stay here again.

The staff was friendly and provided great recommendations for food and activities. My drivers Martin and Lendy were amazing, highly recommended if you stay. They are knowledgeable of the history of the country as well as the activities you choose. I stayed in the penthouse two bedroom suite, the room had modern finishes and TWO balconies. The safe was working which is always a plus. Staff respected privacy and was always available when necessary.

The ppl was in the middle of the lunge and eating area. It was more for aesthetic than for swimming. However, If you’re comfortable swimming while people eat you will be fine.

Overal the hote was amazing and great location. Will definitely stay again

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and restocked daily with water. The artwork was appropriate. Bedding was clean. The staff at District 5 (rooftop lounge) was amazing. The drinks were great and the food is a 7/10.

The parking lot was extremely tight. You have to be an experienced driver to navigate the one way in and out. The pool is more for aesthetics then to swim in. It is on the roof however it is in the middle of the lounge and eating area. It is relatively small, similar to one lane in an Olympic size pool.

What we needed.

The staff at reception helped me and were very good and polite.

Woken up by what I think was housekeeping in the car park at 5:15am in the morning, talking extremely loudly. Our room was just above it. The breakfast bacon was very greasy and hash brown over cooked but Jamaica style was nice. I think the hotel is over priced for what it was though.

A beautiful place

The room was huge and the washer and dryer were so handy for getting started on holiday washing! All of the staff were helpful and friendly, we were given complimentary early check-in and late check-out. The cleanliness of the entire place was exemplary. We also enjoyed the free Jamaican breakfast and the rooftop bar was a lovely place to enjoy a few drinks overlooking Kingston.

The rooftop pool was a little disappointing, but the rest of the hotel amenities more than made up for this!

My stay was very comfortable. I would definitely return to this hotel.

The suite had 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Pretty awesome

The entrance is down an alley. A little hidden and dark. Certain areas need to be painted or updated.

Very Good

The beds were very comfortable, good internet, nice bar upstairs. Also the location is in area close to all things you need.

There was some confusion with taxes that need to paid. Booking.com didn’t include in the final price, need to look back in my email to find out that tax is coming on top of the price. Not the hotel fault

I didn't wake up in time for breakfast. Ending at 10am on a Sunday feels early. The booking.com pictures need updating. There were mixed options in the room category booked (variances in bedding and bathrooms was difficult to plan ahead)

I travel to Jamaica at least 3 times a year, and I must say...

I travel to Jamaica at least 3 times a year, and I must say that this is by far one of the best places I’ve stayed. We arrived at the hotel at about 5am and we was able to check into our room!! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming as well as management, I felt like we were among family, And even though the restaurant is not up and running we were able to place our breakfast orders from the night before and had it delivered on time in morning. So many great things to say about this hotel but I definitely want to thanks to Wadia in reservations who assisted me with my booking, as the first contact with this new hotel she was the first sign that I had made the right decision!!

Spectacular!!!

The location was superb and the staff was friendly and very proffesional. We were located in room 261 overlooking the ocean with dual showers and double beds. The 5th gloor has an endless pool that is just breath taking!!!

Nice room - it was beautiful!

Nice room - it was beautiful! Spacious and the beds were comfortable. Good location - there was a nice food spot close by, Crayfish Wendaze that I ate at. Also close to a NCB cash point that was helpful. Very close to emancipation park and all of the shops/banks on Knutsford Boulevard. The front of house staff were great, especially Wadia who provided me with lots of information before & during my stay and made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was very nice too, especially the fried dumpling. The car park is literally right next to the hotel property, a 5 second walk from the car to the hotel. I actually stayed at the Marriott in Kingston first and checked out to stay in this hotel which I preferred! There are a lot of other good things I could say but I will leave it here! When I’m back in Kingston I will stay here again if I want something luxury/premium!

10 night stay at the R. Relax, Refreshed and Ready to go.

At R HOTEL my room was clean and spacious. I had the queen deluxe with kitchenette with access to washing machine and tumble dryer. What an excellent idea! The opportunity to return from holiday and not have to do laundry..... amazing . All the members of staff I encountered from Front Desk, Housekeeping and Security were courteous, professional, lovely to talk to and always happy to help. Breakfast was great especially the ackee and saltfish. I was able to walk to Emancipation park and take a taxi to other places of interest. I opted for a late checkout which came in very handy. Checking in and out was easy. A truly enjoyable stay at the R. One I would happily do again in the future.

Not all facilities were available as the hotel was in "soft opening phase". However this did not impact my stay or the excellent customer service provided.

Shame about lack of facilities and not being notified until check in

Our room was absolutely lovely. Exactly what you would want from any hotel. Clean Modern hard to come by even in the most exclusive hotels in Kingston. The hotel is brand new so it is expected but regardless of that it was great. Would of been absolutely perfect had the hotel delivered all facilities as described

Until check in we were not made aware at any stage of the lack of facility. No pool no bar no restaurant. Literally your room. The site does not tell you this information rather the contrary which is the the reason the hotel was picked - new fresh all facilities. Customer service is great but a little too much. You can’t turn a corner with somebody being there which some may like but it did become a little to forthright. Breakfast had to be submitted by 8pm nightly For delivery in the morning - not great nor great options. A note is left in the room thanking You for the soft opening?! For £500 more we could stayed in Pegasus or Terra Nova - so soft opening at cost with no facilities?

I got stuck in their elevator for 105 Mins which cause me to be late for my flight.

There is nothing that I like about this Hotel. This Hotel is a disgrace and it is the worst Hotel in Jamaica.

There is nothing to like about this Hotel. I got stuck in their elevator from 5:40 AM - 6:45 AM. The general manager told me that he would send me an email for a free night whenever I come back to Jamaica. He never send me an email. I will be seeking legal advice in Jamaica to pursue legal proceedings against this Hotel. This hotel and the general manager is a disgrace and this is the WORST HOTEL in Jamaica. A lot of customers should stay clear of this Hotel and its elevator as well.

GREAT NEW HOTEL WITH GREAT STAFF.

This is a brand new property with excellent rooms, friendly staff and SUPER GREAT LOCATION. My wife and I stayed here before our wedding and it was a pleasure.

Everything was great. They’re adding facilities to the property daily but the improvements didn’t cause any disturbances at all.
